Prepare for the (Competitive) Stage! Pole & Lyra

Lee Sa

Lee Sa has been a certified personal trainer and fitness instructor for over 24 years. She began instructing pole dance over 11 years ago and most recently added lyra to her repertoire. Her passion for dance and fitness as a child has grown into her life long career. Lee Sa has won various fitness competitions including a PSO Dramatic Level 4 Masters in 2013. As a previous studio owner, she has successfully taught many women (and men) the art of pole dance and loves watching her students grow and achieve what they never thought possible. As a board member and master trainer for the Canadian Pole Fitness Association, she is very committed to the pole and aerial community. Lee Sa is very excited to be teaching pole, lyra, flexibility and conditioning classes at Brass Vixens.
Preparing for the Stage is a 6 week x 3 hr session workshop designed to get performers and competitors stage ready for their big debut.
LeeSa (Elisabeth Magalhaes) will be hosting the workshops and has been not only a competitor, but a frequent showcase performer. She has hosted over 6 national pole competitions and showcases ; choreographed numerous pieces for both competitors and showcase performers as well as judged countless competitions.
As a CPFA board member since 2011, Elisabeth has the experience to help guide you on your journey to being the best performer (whether that be for showcase or competition), that you can be.
Each week will consist of a one hour discussion regarding different topics such as diet and nutrition, building combinations, discussion of judging criteria, balance of tricks, use of stage, props, music selection, overcoming fear and anxiety and more.
The following two hours will be dedicated to in studio training where you will work on flexibility, strength, flows, combination creation, then build your routine from start to finish with Elisabeth’s assistance. You will receive constant feedback, suggestions as well as have an opportunity to perform for your peers with constructive commentary.
At the end of the 6 week session, you should have your full routine as well as a great sense of confidence in your ability to get on that stage and perform to your highest potential.
